Minefield Dramatisation

Both sides of the build up and engagement in 1982

In 2010, I was invited to join a group of UK Falklands War veterans on a journey to Argentina, where we met with Argentinian Army and Navy veterans. The trip aimed to explore our shared experiences of the war, bridging the divide through open dialogue and dramatic interpretation. We reflected on the intense moments of conflict, the emotions that shaped us, and the lasting impact the war had on both sides.

Through dramatisation, we sought to express the unspoken weight of those events and the memories that still linger. The process was deeply personal, stirring emotions that had remained beneath the surface for decades. Though time has passed, the war’s legacy continues to shape our perspectives. Below, you will find a short clip offering insight into the narrative behind this unique and thought-provoking experience.

Minefield: Different languages but the same experience

Real veterans reflect on how they signed up, and the beginnings of the Falklands War.
